NORWALK, Conn. – Will Norwalk voters seek to trade in their two long-time Democratic state representatives in favor of a newer and more aggressive pair? Who will get to carry the Republican banner into the November election in the 142nd District, where Larry Cafero is stepping down after 22 years? And will Norwalk Republicans follow their Town Committee’s lead and dump their 14-year registrar of voters? Today – Tuesday, Aug. 12 – we will find the answers to these questions as voters go the polls for the much ballyhooed primary election.

But, hey, it’s not just about Norwalk. Republican voters will also find an array of state candidates from which to choose, including who will get to challenge Gov. Dannel P. Malloy. Republicans in every Norwalk district can cast their ballots.

Only Democrats in districts 137 and 140 will vote in this primary.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

One response to “2014 Primary Election: We’re on the eve of selection”

  1. Don’t Panic

Please go out and vote today if you are registered in a party that has a primary going on. Hint, all districts have a republican governors primary today.
There is supposed to be a storm later so vote early if you can.
