Norwalk firefighters rescue woman on Merritt Parkway

NORWALK, Conn. – This is a press release, presented in the format in which it was sent:

The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a one car motor vehicle roll-over on the Merritt Parkway, between exits 40 and 41 northbound today, at 4pm. A female driver in her 50’s who was still in the vehicle, was transported to Norwalk Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

The Volvo station wagon landed upright down a slight embankment, at the edge of the woods, after rolling several times. Normal rush hour traffic moved slowly passed the scene and was not affected by the accident. State Police are investigating.
