Yard waste site is open

Yard Waste Site – March 2018 Schedule


Starting Monday March 12th, the Yard Waste Site, located at 15 S. Smith St., will be OPEN Monday to Friday.

The hours of operation will be 7:30am – 3:00pm (The Scale closes for lunch from 12:00pm-12:30pm, approximately).

On Friday March 30th, the Yard Waste Site will be closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday.


The Yard Waste Site will open for the Spring/Summer/Fall Season on Monday April 2nd.

During the Season (Monday April 2, 2018 to Friday December 21, 2018), the hours of operation will be:

  • Monday – Friday:    7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday:              7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Monday to Friday: the Scale will be closed from approximately 12:00PM-12:30PM.

Yard Waste may be brought loose or bagged in brown paper leaf bags.

All containers, EXCEPT brown paper leaf bags, MUST BE EMPTIED AND REMOVED.

All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass as they enter the Site.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2017 Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass expires on March 31, 2018.

Residents will be given a 30-day grace period. Residents with cars or SUVs will be required to have the 2018 Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass by May 1, 2018.

Norwalk Residents with Pick-up Trucks, Vans, and/or Trailers: The Resident Cards do not need to be renewed until July 1, 2018.
