NCC declared ‘military friendly’

NORWALK, Conn. – This is a press release, presented in the format in which it was sent:

Norwalk Community College has been selected for inclusion in the 2018-19 Military Friendly ® Schools list published by Victory Media.

The annual list provides a comprehensive guide to higher education for veterans and their families.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly ® School designation are evaluated using public data sources from more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools Survey from participating institutions. Student survey data also is taken into consideration for the designation.

More than 1,400 schools participated in the 2018-2019 survey, with 941 schools earning the Military Friendly® Schools designation.

Ratings are determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates.
