Vote for transportation lockbox

Send signed letters to [email protected]

Fellow Commuters…

I’ll keep it short and sweet:

Connecticut commuters need your  YES VOTE  for Question One, the Special Transportation Fund “Lockbox “referendum on Tuesday.  I’ve outlined the reasons for a YES VOTE in my “Getting There” newspaper column this week.

You may find Question One on the back of your ballot, so please look for it and VOTE YES.

Thanks for your support…

The money will vanish as quickly as you can say Toni Harp. She got a piece of the insurance fee that will added to your home insurance, even though the intent was to bail out homeowners with faulty foundations.
The money will vanish the same way that lottery revenue will soon be funneled into teacher pensions… so much for education.
Connecticut has a problem when it comes to revenue and spending. A lockbox is meaningless.
How is that weigh station down in Greenwich? As yourself how much it cost and how much it has taken in…

Once again, I used to be FOR a lockbox on transportation funds, but now that I’ve seen the #billiondollarbridgeandcounting Walk Bridge project, I can’t say I want to have a pool of dedicated funds for the state DOT to play with. At least when they have to ask for the funds, we have the ability to balance their priorities.

Remember the underground tank removal lock box? Yeah, that’s gone too so Malloy could balance one of our budgets. The state is on the hook with the Feds, potentially for several hundred million thanks to that “lock box”. At least someone was standing up for us when that happened.
