JR Romano commits Connecticut’s 28 Republican delegates to Trump

Election 2016CLEVELAND — The Republican National Convention officially made Donald Trump its party nominee on Tuesday, and Connecticut delegates had a front-row seat for the action.

Gathered in the front row to the left of the stage at Quicken Loans Arena, the state’s 28 delegates were uncharacteristically close to the action as celebrations began after Trump was officially named the nominee for President of the United States.

Perhaps it’s due to Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort hailing from Connecticut, the son of a three-time mayor of New Britain. Or perhaps Trump has a soft spot for the Constitution State, as he used to own a home in Greenwich.

    Trump’s the right man at the right time.

    Trump may have just won the toughest part of the cycle, He had to overcome 16 foes, the Chamber of Commerce and the democrat press. Now all he has to beat is that old […] lady who happens to be a crook.

    Remember the Roaring Reagon Eighties in Fairfield County. All boats rose. We lived in the most prosperous county in the country. Now it ain’t.

    But Trump like Reagan will bring it back fast with tax cuts, common sense reg cuts and law enforcement, namely, 8 U.S. Code § 1324a.

    Better study up on that statute all you upstanding Chamber of Commerce guys.
