NORWALK, Conn. – From elections to iPads, from BJ’s to NEON, NancyOnNorwalk.com strives to keep Norwalkers informed about how their government and government-supported entities are behaving and spending the taxpayers’ money.
NoN has been bringing you reporting with more depth and stories you won’t find elsewhere for 18 months – the site began Oct. 29, 2012 – and has grown from a dozen readers looking at a few dozen pages a day to hundreds of people clicking on thousands of pages daily.
We have some good news: NancyOnNorwalk.com is now under the banner of Chapman Hyperlocal Media Inc., a newly registered Connecticut non-profit corporation. We are about to file paperwork for our 501(c)(3) status, which would make all donations tax deductible (but not our income).
Keeping Norwalkers in the know is a huge but fulfilling task, a fulltime job for two people and part-time for a third.
It’s the end of the month and the bills are due. If NoN is to continue bringing you your daily dose of news you need to remain in the know, it needs your help and financial support.
If you have donated in the past, we are more than grateful. If you haven’t donated yet, now would be a great time click on the “DONATE” button near the top side of the page, or to send a check to NancyOnNorwalk, PO Box 64, Norwalk, CT 06856. No donation is too small. If every unique user so far this year – since Jan. 1 – donated $10, it would not only sustain NancyOnNorwalk for the year, it would allow for added staff and expanded coverage.
We know, however, that 100 percent participation is a pipe dream, so it is important that those who can afford it, and who want NancyOnNorwalk to continue, consider donating today.
We thank you all for continuing to read NancyOnNorwalk, and for supporting our mission.
