NORWALK, Conn. – One week from now – Thursday, July 31 – the sounds of jazz will permeate the room as NancyOnNorwalk host its Meet, Greet and Eat fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn at 560 Main Ave.

Drummer Mike Camacho and friends will add a new and welcome twist to the NoN fundraiser. Camacho, a Norwalk resident (Brien McMahon grad) and a jazz studies major at SUNY Purchase (Class of 2015), will front a trio with a guitar and bass to give NoN supporters an event with a “night on the town” feel.

Camacho has been a working professional for some years and has played several club dates in New York City as well as around Connecticut. He is the son of Attorney Edwin Camacho and Dede Farnsworth.

The Hilton Garden Inn will provide appetizer-style food for the event, and there will be a cash bar. Suggested donation of $25 helps support NancyOnNorwalk and it mission to provide Norwalkers with a close look at how their city government and taxpayer-supported institutions are conducting their business, and how their money is being spent.

Hilton Garden Inn is just off the Route 7 connector near the Department of Motor Vehicles.
