If you think NoN’s a treat, consider helping with the tricky part…

NORWALK, Conn. – Well, gee, look at the calendar: Halloween!

That means two things:

  1. We are about to go headlong into November, with an election on Tuesday. Busy, busy!
  2. It’s time to go Trick-or-Treating.

So…

TRICK or TREAT!

We hate to ask, but the end of the month does mean it’s time to pay the bills, and we sort of lost track of the time, what with reporting on the campaigns, interviewing candidates for profiles, and doing all the other things that allow us to keep you informed about what your government is doing with your tax dollars.

For those of you who don’t know, this is a fulltime job for two professional journalists who work seven days a week (well, Nancy tries to hold it to six) to bring you the news of what’s happening at City Hall and in various other Norwalk places. It is how we pay the bills and buy the groceries.

Because online advertising is what it is, and advertising on a sometimes controversial website scares the bejeepers out of most merchants, we depend on you, our readers – the beneficiaries of our labors – to keep the lights on, the Internet connected, and the journalists fed and clothed (trust us – you WANT us clothed).

So, while we hate this part of the process, we come to you and ask that you donate to the cause, either by clicking on the donate button on the right side of the page or by sending a check to NancyOnNorwalk, P.O. Box 64, Norwalk, CT 06856.

We are a registered Connecticut non-profit corporation as Chapman Hyperlocal Media, and our federal 501(c)(3) application is pending, meaning if we are approved, all donations back to April 2 are tax deductible. And if not? Well, you are still getting the news!

So, if you like what we do, please consider helping us keep doing it. Without you, we could wind up in New Jersey. Do we really want THAT?

Thank you.
