NORWALK, Conn. — There’s a lot to talk about in Norwalk these days.
Who will ultimately replace retiring Larry Cafero (R-142) in the state legislature?
Will veteran legislators Bruce Morris (D-140) and Chris Perone (D-137) find themselves on the outside looking in next November?
Is Democratic state Sen. Bob Duff vulnerable this year?
Norwalk has a handful of new task forces to identify and try to solve some vexing problems: how to bring stability to SoNo, the revitalization of central Norwalk and Wall Street, and making Norwalk more environmentally responsible.
The schools are going through a sea change, with a new superintendent ushering in the controversial Common Core Standards and trying to close the achievement gap that affects minority students.
Friday night, from 6:30 to 9:30 – or later – NancyOnNorwalk readers will gather at East Side Café at 232 East Avenue to meet, eat and talk about all these things and more while supporting NoN’s mission to keep the news flowing.
Join in the fun. Come socialize and enjoy some great food and a cash bar and help keep the lights – and computers – on for Norwalk’s government watchdog news site. Suggested donation is $25.
