Nancy on Norwalk Kicks off NewsMatch Campaign

Noticed our ad about a free press and strong democracy? We’ve joined with 154 other independent news organizations around the country to participate in a two-month campaign called NewsMatch.

When we were accepted into the Independent News Network last August, NancyOnNorwalk grabbed an opportunity to grow and serve our readers even better. We now have access not only to advisors and fellow local news experts, but we can share relevant stories with you from other independent news sites.

NewsMatch is presenting us with another amazing opportunity: from now until the end of the year, NewsMatch will double every dollar we raise. Individual donations of up to $1,000 will be completely matched. Not only that, it will double all annual subscriptions. That is, if you subscribe at $10 per month, NewsMatch will match it at $120.

We have the real opportunity to raise $50,000 to keep NancyOnNorwalk going.

Yes, I said ‘keep it going.’ Nancy On Norwalk needs every reader’s support today. We cannot continue to produce the level of coverage we’ve given you without this additional boost. Nancy works tirelessly, and needs more support. Because of our amazing growth, we stand ready to add staff: reporters, a copy editor, ad salesperson… We could use them all. But first we need you.

Please take a moment to visit our NewsMatch page and show your support for this valuable community news site. Then call a friend or two and ask them to help.

The future of Nancy On Norwalk depends on it.

Good luck to Nancy and her board! Media is under attack in America, and it is our responsibility to keep it going and improving.
