Learn about Sandy Hook lawsuit

Sandy Hook lead prosecutor Josh Koskoff will discuss the case at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 2 at Ferguson Library, 1 Public Library Plaza in Stamford.  There’s no charge to attend.  Attorney Koskoff won a $73 million settlement from gun manufacturer Remington, and a record-setting $965 million defamation verdict against disinformation peddler Alex Jones.  His talk is sponsored by law firm Wofsey, Rosen, Kweskin and Kuriansky, and by the family of the late Howard C. Kaplan.

Silvermine Art Colony highlighted

Century-old paintings and sculptures will be unveiled when New Canaan Museum and Historical Society, located at 13 Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan, debuts “The Silvermine Art Colony 1908-1922” on Thursday Nov. 17 from 5 until 7 p.m. According to a news release, the exhibit will remain in place until April 29, 2023, viewable Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Fairfield U programs recognized

Two Fairfield University Dolan School of Business graduate programs are ranked among the 2023 Worldwide Specialized Master’s Top 25 Best Value for Money by premiere global university performance data source Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) , according to a news release.  QS bases its rankings on five key indicators: employability, alumni outcomes, return on investment, thought leadership, and faculty diversity.

Dolan’s MS in Business Analytics program ranks #22 Best Value for Money in the world, #17 Best Value for Money in the U.S., and #49 in the U.S. overall

Dolan’s MS in Management program ranks #17 Best Value for Money in the world, #10 Best Value for Money in the U.S., and #22 in the U.S. overall.

“We are thrilled by this recognition of our Dolan graduate programs on a global ranking,” said Dolan Associate Dean Anca Micu, PhD. “As a nationally ranked institution with a global vision, we knew that we were offering our students high-quality programs and a great return on investment. This top 25 value world ranking simply recognizes what we are offering.”

Additionally, U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Grad Business Specialty Programs rankings place Dolan among the top 25,  including #19 in Accounting, #18 in Marketing, #19 in Finance, and #21 in Business Analytics. Dolan’s part-time MBA program also ranks #92 nationwide.
