Nice night for a drink on the patio

NORWALK, Conn. – The weather forecast for tonight is enticing: mostly clear skies, pleasant temperatures – sweater weather – and no rain in sight.

In other words, a perfect evening for drinks on the patio at the Oak Hills Restaurant on the Green.

And what a coincidence: The NancyOnNorwalk Meet, Eat and Greet fundraiser runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at that very spot, at 165 Fillow St. in West Norwalk.

Bet you didn’t see THAT coming!

This is our third fundraising event. The first came in the dead of winter, delayed a day by a snow storm that made parking – and walking – a hassle. The second came on a chilly, rainy evening in East Norwalk. But tonight – the weather should be fine, there’s plenty of easy parking, plenty of space and that terrific Oak Hills Restaurant food. We don’t know what Amar and company are cooking up, but it will involve a variety of noshes on the buffet table.

And there’s this: Readership is growing by the week, and should continue as we head into what promises to be a lively campaign season. But we need your help! Two of us work fulltime – and beyond – to bring you the news, and a third, part time, keeps us up and running and makes the little changes that enhance your experience. We offer thee site to all for free, but we need your help to pay the bills. Without your donations, the site goes dark and Norwalk goes back to being a single-source city for political news.
