No price hike coming for Oak Hills golfers

NORWALK, Conn. – Rates are staying the same next year at Oak Hills Park golf course, Oak Hills Park Authority members said Thursday.

Keeping the rates the same would allow the park to begin selling golf cards on Jan. 1, Oak Hills Park Executive Director Shelly Guyer said, in pushing the idea. Authority member Ernie Desrochers pushed back, advocating special rates for seniors.

“We will run an early season special for out of town seniors,” Guyer said.

“I think that’s a nice gesture to a demographic that supports Oak Hills a lot,” Desrochers said.

By not changing the rates, authority members bypass the need for a public hearing, meaning they can sell the cards sooner. Guyer said the news would be spread with an email blast.

Are you sure that isn’t President Obama in that picture? Looks like him. On second thought it can’t be. Looks like a decent swing.
