S’no school in Norwalk on Friday

Updated 11:56 p.m. Thursday to reflect NEON cancellation

NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk kids who ended their winter break and headed back to class Thursday will get an unexpected bonus — a three-day weekend, courtesy of Mother Nature.

Norwalk Superintendent Manny Rivera has canceled classes for Friday because of the snow. All schools, including school offices, will be closed Friday.

NEON’s Child Development program classes at Norwalk’s Nathaniel Ely School and Ben Franklin Center will be closed Friday, as will the agency’s offices in Norwalk and Stamford.

The National Weather Service is predicting 4 to 8 inches of snow overnight Thursday into Friday, with another inch or two possible during the day Friday. Friday’s high temperature is expected to be 17 degrees, with 17 to 21 mph winds creating a wind chill factor of -5.

    The same scum bag city workers who want your support on garbage and union issues will plow you OVER and laugh as they drive as they did to us this morning. If I could have chased them down I would have!!!!
