NORWALK, Conn. – Tonight’s the night – it’s the Meet, Eat and Greet NancyOnNorwalk fundraiser at the East Side Café, 232 East Ave.

We need your help, ladies and gentlemen. We need you to help us pay the bills to allow us to continue bringing you the news you want and need on a daily basis.

Shining the light on your local government, schools and social service agencies is a fulltime job, and the fact is that sometimes – OK, often – the stories can make some people uncomfortable. That is why advertisers often shy away from sponsoring news coverage, and that is why more and more news sites like ours have taken to depending on donations for their existence. CT News Junkie, New Haven Independent and The CT Mirror are just three such sites among many in Connecticut that are supported at least in part by donations from individuals and/or foundations and other organizations.
