This #GivingTuesday, invest in news that’s for people, not for profit

We’re calling it Giving News Day.

You’ve come to depend on our reporting to give you the local news of Norwalk. As a nonprofit, we depend on you to make this work possible. We’ve joined more than 300 organizations across the country in raising $50 million to sustain nonprofit news like ours—and to appeal to our readers to help us in this call to action. It’s a movement like no other, and you can be a part of it.

Please consider making a donation to NancyOnNorwalk today, in honor of #GivingNewsDay

From now until December 31, NewsMatch and other funders will match your new monthly donation 12 times, or double your one-time gift, up to $1,000. Just think of the impact that could have—not just in our newsroom, but in our community.

We hope to raise $5,000 by the end of the day today.

We invite you to invest in us…and your community.

During this giving season, we know there are many worthy organizations vying for your attention. We hope that, as a reader of NancyOnNorwalk, you’ll demonstrate the value we add to your life by making a donation today.

With gratitude,

NancyOnNorwalk Board of Directors

P.S. Celebrate #GivingNewsDay by sharing this email with friends and colleagues – help us keep local news thriving in Norwalk!

Everyday Nancy, a gifted journalist, covers the news that is most important to our local community and provides us with the closest thing we have to an ongoing town hall meeting. All of us lose out if we fail to provide her with the means to ensure NON’s continued existence. So it is with that thought in mind that my wife and I plan on responding to your appeal with an additional donation.
