TONIGHT: Enjoy sea breezes, jazz, tasty food at Nancy’s Night Out!

Nancy’s Night Out is TONIGHT: August 16, 6:30, Ripka’s @ Calf Pasture Beach. You’re invited.

Why?  NancyOnNorwalk is, and needs to be, one sure source of local news; Nancy works incredibly hard and needs a Night Out.

Some night!  Cool jazz by Mike Camacho’s group.  Wood-fired pizza plus a raw bar.  Stuff for kids.  Nancy expects a lot of fun.  You’re invited.

Sea breezes.  Summer stars.  Free parking (Nancy will help if you haven’t got a sticker).  And if you can spare it, a suggested donation of $25, since NancyOnNorwalk depends on reader support.

See you there.

Clyde Ripka provided tasty wood-fired pizzas and a raw bar. Mike Camacho and friends played jazz from the Great American Songbook. Nature provided sea breezes, stunning views, and a great sunset. Turnout was the best ever with lots of thoughtful, interesting Norwalkers and many new faces. A silent auction included some rare items including the opportunity to be married by Board Member John Levin.

Two takeaways: 1) Norwalkers like a good time and 2) Norwalkers support journalism shining a light on our community. That’s important, because 85% of NoN’s budget comes from reader donations.

If you’ve supported NoN recently, thank you. Otherwise click here now to donate:

Sincere thanks to all who came out last night to support Nancy. As Bob mentioned, Clyde Ripka did an amazing job with the food, and his generosity is greatly appreciated. The patrons really showed their support as well! If you don’t already participate, please consider signing up for a monthly donation. None too big or too small. And we can always use a helping hand from volunteers on special projects. Nancy’s work is living proof that the press can be fair, honest, and objective.
