NORWALK, Conn. — State Rep. Tracy Marra (R-141) has endorsed Vinny Scicchitano in his campaign for mayor of Norwalk, calling him a dedicated community member and public servant.
“Vinny is a lifelong Norwalker, a successful small business owner, and someone who’s always put his community first,” Marra said in a statement. “He’s not a career politician—he’s a neighbor who wants to serve. That’s exactly what Norwalk needs right now.”
Marra, who has represented Darien and Rowayton since 2023, is known for her bipartisan focus on education, public health, transportation, and support for small businesses. Her endorsement is the latest in a series of public backings for Scicchitano as he builds momentum for his mayoral bid.
Scicchitano, a Republican and longtime owner of an East Norwalk auto repair shop, announced his campaign earlier this year. His platform includes restoring trust in City Hall, promoting fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that development efforts benefit residents.
“I’m honored to have Representative Marra’s support,” Scicchitano said. “She’s a strong voice for local control and real solutions, and I look forward to working with her to bring that same approach to Norwalk.”
The endorsement adds to what campaign officials describe as growing bipartisan support for Scicchitano ahead of the upcoming election.
